Rabbi Eliezer Shlomo Schik, a prominent leader in the Breslov movement known for spreading its teachings, had an odd request while spending Pesach with his followers in Monsey, NY.
On Motzoei Shabbos chol hamoed, he asked to be taken to the Old Montefiore Cemetery in Cambria Heights, Queens, and to be there at precisely 1:35 AM.
Rabbi Schik, a prolific author and publisher of Breslov teachings and Rov of "Breslov City" in the Galilee town of Yavne'el in Israel, also asked that the trip not be publisized in advance.
When his son, Rabbi Moshe Schik, Rav of the Heichal Hakodesh community in Monsey, asked for the reason, his father said he wanted to pray on the Ohel gravesite of the Lubavitcher Rebbe.
