Hatzolah officials present law enforcement with certificate of appreciation
ELLENVILLE – Catskill Hatzolah Volunteer Ambulance Corps lauded state and local officials for their cooperation and assistance on a daily basis and in particular for their efforts in the July 13 search for a boy who went missing from a camp in Dairyland.
Moshe Dresner was located several hours later on Staten Island.
Rabbi David Dresner, the boy’s father, praised the authorities for making the search a priority and dealing with the situation in a discreet manner. He praised the Hatzolah volunteers and Rabbi Joel Gold, chaplain of the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office, for playing a key role in finding his son. “The support I received from the authorities and volunteers was astonishing,” he said.
The Hatzolah coordinators presented awards to the State Police, Ulster County Sheriff, State Forest Rangers and the Ellenville Fire District for their involvement in the search for Dresner.
“These officials go beyond their call of duty to assist the orthodox Jewish community that resides in the Catskill region during the summer months,” said Rabbi Bernie Gips, Hatzolah coordinator. “Their continuous support enables us to serve our community effectively.”
