Hollywood just found their new Wonder Woman, and she is
Israeli.
Gal Gadot, an Israeli model and actress known in Hollywood
for her starring role in "Fast and Furious" films, was chosen for the
iconic role of Wonder Women in the upcoming "Man of Steel" sequel,
which is currently going under the working titel "Batman vs.
Superman," Variety reported Wednesday.
Gadot will star in the action movie alongside Ben Affleck,
who is set to play Batman, and Henry Cavill, who already assumed the role of
Superman in the 2013 flick. Zack Snyder will be directing the movie, which is
scheduled to open in July 2015, the report said.
"Wonder Women! So exciting!!! Can't express how happy I
am," Gadot tweeted on Wednesday.
"Not only is Gal an amazing actress, but she also has
that magical quality that makes her perfect for the role," Variety quoted
Snyder as saying. "We look forward to audiences discovering Gal in the
first feature film incarnation of this beloved character."
In addition to her role in "Fast and Furious 6"
with Vin Diesel and Paul Walker, in addition to two previous "Fast and
Furious" films, Gadot acterd in Hollywood films "Knight And Day"
and "Date Night."
