NYPD: Masked Thug Makes Off With $500K In Brooklyn Armored Car Heist


Brooklyn, NY -  An armed thug wearing a mask made off with a duffle-bag containing $500,000 after he successfully held up a parked armored car while it was making a delivery in Brooklyn late Thursday morning.
ABC NEWS 7 Reports that the robbery occurred at approximately 11:20 a.m. while the truck was stopped for a delivery at a check cashing business located at Rockaway Parkway and Seaview Avenue in Canarsie.

According to sources, the suspect jumped into the passenger seat of the armored vehicle, pointed a gun at the head of the driver and told him to drive away.
The thief forced the driver to stop a few blocks away, and he then took off on foot carrying the duffle-bag believed to be loaded with around $500K.

The suspect is described a short black male in his 20s, with a black mask covering half his face.

The suspect was last seen running east down Linden Boulevard.
