Married Goldman Sachs exec charged with raping 20-year-old

A married Goldman Sachs executive from Manhattan has been charged with raping a 20-year old woman after a late-night party at his Hamptons summer rental raged out of control, authorities said today.
Equity markets whiz Jason Lee, 37, was hauled into East Hampton Town Court in handcuffs and charged with first-degree rape, police said.

Lee posted $20,000 bail, which was delivered in cash to the court clerks while Lee waited in a nearby holding cell.
Lee, who has worked for Goldman Sachs since 1998 and is a managing director of its equity capital markets group, has been on leave since his arrest, sources said.

The alleged attack early Tuesday morning came after a bash at the four-bedroom, multimillion dollar manse Lee had rented for July and August, according to a source.
Police declined to give details, saying only that “a 20-year-old woman had been sexually assaulted inside the residence where several people had gathered.”

Lee’s wife was not at the summer home at the time, a source said.

The exec had been partying with pals at Georgica in East Hampton when he decided to take the party back to his house and pool, according to a source.
With the alcohol flowing, “clothes came off” and the party got wild, going into the wee hours, the source said.

Sometime around 5 am, one of the guests claimed that his car had been stolen by one of the revelers, causing a scene that brought police to the house, a source said.

The stolen car charges turned out to be unfounded, according to a source familiar with the situation.
But it was while cops were there investigating that the 20-year-old told police she’d been raped.

The case has gone to a grand jury and an indictment was expected soon, sources said.
Lee’s lawyer, Edward Burke Jr., said his client denies the charge.

“He is very accomplished and he’s never been in trouble with the law,” Burke said.
”His wife and family fully support him. He denies the allegation against him completely and looks forward to defending himself in court.”

The doorman at the $5.4 million, 4,500-square-foot Tribeca apartment Lee shares with his wife booted a reporter from the building.
