Report: Mossad chief meets Turkish intelligence head in Ankara

Turkey's Hurriyet newspaper reported that Mossad chief Tamir Pardo met secretly with the Turkish intelligence agency’s undersecretary, Hakan Fidan, earlier this week to discuss with him matters relating to Syria and Iran.

According to the report, Pardo requested an appointment to meet with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Erdogan, however, has not yet r
esponded to this request.

It was further reported that Fidan and Pardo shared information about the situation in Syria as well as the influence of Iran in the country.

They also discussed intelligence sharing between the two countries.

Sources quoted by Hurriyet claimed to have information that Iranian Revolutionary Guards and the Syrian intelligence unit, al-Mukhaberat, are working against Turkey. Pardo and Fidan reportedly discussed the ongoing protests in Turkey.
