A mother and her one-year-old son were fortunate to escape
with only minor scratches and bruises after a shocking incident in the parking
lot of a convenience store in Muskegon, Michigan.
Surveillance video shows the woman pushing her son’s baby
stroller when they are suddenly hit by a man reversing his van into them, the
vehicle then drags the stroller across the parking lot before the woman manages
to snatch her child from his stroller.
Even more shocking, the man doesn’t even bother to get out
of his gold-colored van and drives off with the kid’s stroller still attached
to the back of his vehicle.
The incident occurred around 10:30 a.m. on June 25 in the
parking lot of Sam’s Drink All.
Police are searching for the suspect - described as a black
man, wearing a blue T-shirt, saggy blue jeans, and blue and orange athletic
shoes.
According to the police report, the mom, an 18-year-old
Muskegon woman, was pushing the stroller in the parking lot of the business
when the van began to back up, reports Mlive.
The van struck the woman first, knocking her to the ground,
then backed into the stroller, at which point the stroller became stuck on the
vehicle, police said.
The van began to drive off just as the mother was able to
grab the boy out of the stroller, police said.
The woman sustained a scrap to her knee and the child wasn't
injured in the incident, according to police.
The van is gold in color and had a cracked windshield at the
time of the incident, police said.
