Cops are still questioning a suspect in an anti-Semitic arson attack in Brooklyn after he was taken into police custody yesterday, law-enforcement sources said.
Ruben Ubiles, 35, has been charged with criminal contempt for violating an order of protection against his girlfriend, who he stabbed in February, sources said.
On their Facebook pages, they appear to have reconciled.
Police picked up Ubiles, who has over 40 priors, about 10:30 a.m. yesterday for the burning of the Jewish religious items items, which are placed at entrances to homes.
Eleven of the burnings came Monday on Holocaust Memorial Day.
“He’s given no denials, but he’s given some alibis and the detectives are looking into his alibis,” a law-enforcement source said.
