A twisted fiend described by police as the number one distributor of child porn worldwide has been arrested at his home in Florida.
John Shearen was arrested on his 51st birthday by cops as he sat in his basement - allegedly downloading yet more vile videos.
Staggeringly he was said by cops to have been found in possession of one million images of children between the ages of six and 12 years old.
Florida Department of Law Enforcement Special Agent Jeffrey Duncan said: "He is the No. 1 person that can distribute child pornography throughout the world - and he’s been doing it."
Agents said that Shearen was only identified last month while they were monitoring child pornography Web sites, but he also had an extensive collection of DVDs.
Apparently, Shearen stored his sick collection on a number of computers and external hard drives and was constantly in the process of transfering the smut onto DVDs.

Authorities are unsure if Shearen had contact with children but they did find children's clothing in his apartment.
"One of our concerns is we located several items, outerwear of juvenile girls, including bathing suits, in the residence," Duncan said. "Our concern is, number one, making sure we don't have any child victims in this area."
Neighbors said that Shearen claimed to have been in the Navy, kept to himself and seemed harmless.
"He never let anyone in his house," said Robby Pinder who said that he had hung out with Shearen, according to MyFoxOrlando.
"I have no love for somebody like that," said Pinder. "I liked him as a human being. He seemed like he was all right, but you don't know somebody until you get to know them."
Shearen admitted to his crimes during his arrest.
He has been charged with 20 counts of distributing child pornography and 20 counts of possessing child pornography but prosecutors did not rule out the possibility of adding on more charges.
