Greg Kelly accuser's sister goes on Facebook to say 'truth will be known' about rape case

Facebook claims by sister of the woman who accused Greg Kelly of rape indicate that the story may continue to follow the "Good Day New York" co-host.

The sister of the woman who accused Greg Kelly of rape has taken to Facebook to insist that her twin was telling the truth.

A week after Manhattan prosecutors dropped their investigation into the accusation against the “Good Day New York” co-host, the sister posted a string of heartfelt messages on the social networking site — and promised that her sister would set the record straight.

She refuted news reports her sister sent the police commissioner’s son messages after their encounter hoping to set up another tryst.

A victim doesn't text her rapist to ‘hook up’ again and neither did (my sister), she wrote.

The woman who accused Kelly — a paralegal at a New York law firm claimed he raped her after they had drinks at a Financial District watering hole in October.

Her sister blasted reports that her twin only came forward when her boyfriend found out she had cheated on him.

“She did not get caught. She told him the day after it happened,” the sister said. “I was there.”

The twin charged that the story was “mangled” to Kelly’s advantage — but said the accuser will tell her side of the story.

If anyone was to read the report the DA has, you would all be shocked at how the media has completely chewed the facts up and spit them out the way they want the case to sound to protect Kelly. Theres so much you aren’t allowed to see,” the sister wrote.

But in due time, (my sister) will speak and the truth will be known. I can promise that,” the woman wrote in the first public comments made by the 29-year-old accuser’s family about the sensational allegations.

But a source close to the investigation disputed the sister’s account. There is a deep inconsistency between what her sister is saying and what the evidence shows, the source said.

Kelly’s defense lawyer, Andrew Lankler, declined
to comment Monday, as did prosecutors.
