NY: Man gets ticket for holding hands in his pocket

64-year-old subway rider slapped with two tickets for petty offenses didn't even have to see a judge to get one dismissed.

Jay Reisberg of Manhattan received a letter from the NYC Transit Adjudication Bureau last week officially throwing out the $50 summons -- for keeping his hands in his pockets too long -- after being stopped for walking between subway cars on June 7.

The ticketing was first reported in The Post.

"It was a waste of taxpayers' money to get this fine," Reisberg, said. "I guess the Transit Bureau must read the New York Post, because they realized this ticket was absurd."

Reisberg was stopped by two officers for walking through cars on an F train in the Union Square station.

As the cops were writing his $75 ticket, which is still pending, they ordered him to remove his hands from his pockets, Reisberg said.

He said he didn't because, "I felt intimidated. I wasn't doing it to be defiant. It's my personal habit."

So he was slapped with another $50 summons that the Transit Bureau threw out as "legally defective."
