Thief robs NYC jewelry store of $500k












MIDTOWN - Police have released surveillance pictures of the thief who robbed a Midtown jewelry store of more than $500,000 worth of jewelry and cash.

It happened on March 11th at the Zales jewelry store on Fifth Avenue at 38th street.

The robber was armed with a black revolver.

He fled on foot, north on Fifth avenue.

The suspect is described as a male of unknown race, approximately 6'1", 170 to 180 pounds. He was wearing a full-length trench coat and a scarf that covered his face.
