Kim Kardashian & Kayne West invest $2M on the world’s most advanced anti-kidnap cars

They have ordered the bullet and bomb-proof his-and-hers vehicles so they can travel in safety around Los Angeles with their two-month-old daughter North West.

Hip-hop mogul Kanye, 36, has commissioned a £250,000 Chevrolet Kodiak based on the model known as “Limo One” in which President Obama rides.

For Kim, Kanye is shelling out a mind-blowing £800,000 for an armoured SUV called the Prombron Iron Diamond, made to military specifications by Latvian based Dartz Motorz Company.

Inside, the vehicle is being customised to 32-year-old Kim’s taste.

Dartz sparked controversy by introducing one model featuring leather upholstery made from the foreskins of whale penises.

The Iron Diamond is built to withstand attacks from landmines and rocket-propelled grenades.

It has been described by one American reviewer as “making the Hummer look like a toy”.

A source close to Kanye said he was urged to splurge on the supercars by pal Jay Z, 43, who stepped up his own security after wife Beyoncé, 31, gave birth to their daughter in 2012

 “Kanye is fully aware that his new family is so high-profile they attract the attention of weirdos and psychopaths,” said the source. “He aims to leave nothing to chance.

“His priority is to get delivery of the vehicles, especially Kim’s, before he begins his US tour in October.”

As well as the costs of the vehicles, the Yeezus singer has insisted he and Kim have at least two bodyguards at all times.

“If there have been any kidnapping threats already against their daughter, he isn’t saying,” the source said. “But that fear is clearly in his mind.

“Kanye is also acutely aware that Kim has enemies who are resentful of her reality TV success and the thought of anything happening to her or Nori, their nickname for North, is his worst nightmare.”

The source revealed Kanye is also toying with the idea of employing body doubles for himself and Kim.

The lookalikes would carry a baby doll to throw attackers or kidnappers off the scent.

Los Angeles-based media analyst Mike Raia said: “More stars, especially those with families, are buying the sort of vehicles that boast military-grade specifications.”
