ZAKA volunteer Reuven Reuvy, said "I was traveling on Route 6 towards the south, I heard on the ZAKA radio about a serious accident a few kilometers away I got to the scene and it was a very bad accident. I updated the dispatcher that we are dealing with a mass casualty incident with numerous fatalities.
MDA and ZAKA's Hatzalah Mehirah units arrived within
minutes and began to rescue the passengers through the windows which had
completely shattered."
Yossi Landau ZAKA's Operations Officer to the area, said
"This is a shocking accident victims lying on the road like a battlefield,
a military helicopter landed on the opposite lane to transport the seriously
injured to the hospital, after we treated and evacuated the wounded from the
scene of the accident, we started the painstaking work of collecting the bodies
and remains of the four fatalities in order to make sure to transfer all
findings for a proper Jewish burial. "
