NEW YORK -An NYPD
officer has been shot in the foot by an emotionally disturbed person in Harlem,
according to police.
It is not clear if the shooting took place inside or outside
Harlem Hospital. The NYPD has closed off
the area at 135th Street and Lenox Avenue.
The shooting occurred at about 5:45 a.m. as the officer was
bringing the patient into the hospital.
The emotionally disturbed person has been arrested at the
scene.
