The Jerusalem District Court convicted Menachem Edri, former
Ben Ish Chai Yeshiva head, and his friend Yitzhak Zohar, of shooting and
wounding one the yeshiva's students.
According to the conviction, the two wounded 26-year-old
student Eliyahu Liberty, after learning from one of the students that he was
involved in criminal activity.
Edri shot two bullets to Liberty's foot and beat
him with the gun. Liberty's foot was shattered and he was hospitalized.
