Ashley Greene's condo reportedly destroyed in fire

Ashley Greene's Hollywood apartment burst into flames on Friday morning.

The Twilight actress, her unnamed boyfriend and brother were asleep when fire broke out on the living room sofa, according to TMZ.

Three people were treated for minor injuries, with other reports of two people suffering burns and receiving hospital treatment, although identities are not clear at this stage.

One of Greene's dogs perished in the blaze and was found dead under the bed, according to a resident who spoke to the website. A second dog was taken by Animal Control to be checked out.

The actress fled the apartment with her brother and boyfriend. The two men tried to go back to save the dogs but were unable to re-enter, TMZ reports. Green was spotted at the scene covered in soot.

Several residents tried to tackle the blaze with fire extinguisher before at least 10 fire trucks screeched to the scene of the historic complex once lived in by Marilyn Monroe. After being dispatched at 9.50am, the fire was extinguished just after 10am.

One resident in a neighbouring apartments said she heard the sound of exploding glass coming from Ashley's condo.

A spokesman for the actress told People.com that the cause of the fire is 'undetermined' although a firefighter at the scene told TMZ the blaze started on the sofa.

The apartment is located in The Granville Towers apartments on Crescent Heights Boulevard, which has been home to many celebrities including Monroe, Mickey Rourke and Portia de Rossi.
