JetBlue flight attendant arrested after 'helping boyfriend steal a passenger's iPhone'

She’s supposed to serve fliers, not steal from them.

A uniformed JetBlue flight attendant catching an off-duty free ride to Puerto Rico was arrested at JFK Airport over an iPhone her boyfriend swiped from another traveler, police said.

Stacy-Ann Smith, 27, and her beau, Jason McCaulay, 23, both of Hollis, Queens, were waiting to go through security for a jaunt to Aguadilla, PR, at about 11 p.m. Friday when McCaulay allegedly snatched an iPhone 4S left in a bin by a traveler.

It was another embarrassment for the Queens-based airline, eight months after one of its pilots infamously suffered a midair meltdown.

The iPhone’s owner was in front of McCaulay in line at JFK’s Terminal 5 and had placed the device in the bin to go through a metal detector when it was stolen.

The man realized his phone was missing a few minutes later and told a Transportation Security Administration agent, who alerted Port Authority cops.

PA cops spotted McCaulay on surveillance video snatching the phone.

Smith allegedly said a panicked McCaulay slipped the device into her pocket without her knowledge after he spotted Officers Kenneth Doran and Lawrence Sesso approaching him in Terminal 5.

As Doran and Sesso brought McCaulay to be identified by the phone owner, they realized he was traveling with Smith and spotted her ducking into the ladies room. Doran followed her in and confronted her. She allegedly denied knowing about the theft — until the officer checked a bathroom stall and found the iPhone stashed in a toilet-seat-cover dispenser.

She allegedly admitted, “I left the phone in the bathroom stall,” sources said.

McCaulay also allegedly confessed. Both were busted.

Smith received a desk-appearance ticket and was released.

McCaulay was charged with petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property and was being held pending an arraignment hearing in Queens Criminal Court. Neither could be reached for comment.

In March, JetBlue pilot Clayton Osbon was busted after he began ranting on a New York-to-Las Vegas flight.
