Erev Shabbat Lech Licha 10/26/2012

As I Reported earlier this month regarding a pedophile on the loose. Ramapo police made an arrest last night of Thomas Kenyon of Woodridge N.J

NEW HEMPSTEAD — A New Jersey sex offender has been charged with committing numerous lewd acts in Ramapo, police said today.

Thomas Kenyon, 38, of Woodridge, N.J., is being held in the Rockland County jail on five misdemeanor charges of public lewdness and three misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a child, Ramapo police said.

Kenyon was arrested after an investigation into five reports of a man stopping his car near female pedestrians and masturbating in front of them.

The incidents occurred along Route 306 between Viola Road and Brick Church Road in New Hempstead.

Kenyon was convicted in 2006 of masturbating in front of two young girls in Passaic, N.J., according to records. Those records note that he had previous arrests for lewdness.

Kenyon served six months in jail in 2006 and was released, according to records.

He is listed as a level two sex offender in New Jersey with a moderate risk of repeating his crimes.

He was arraigned Thursday by Ramapo Judge Alan Simon and remanded to the Rockland County Correctional Center on $50,000 bail.
