RAMAPO — Police continued searching today for a 28-year-old man as they investigate the slashing of a rival across the neck during a confrontation.
Kleber Toaza of Spring Valley had an ongoing dispute with the slashed man, 30-year-old Manuel O. Morocho-Verdugo, Ramapo police said in a news release.
Morocho-Verdugo was slashed at 6:05 p.m. on Wednesday during a confrontation at a medical business at 84 Route 59 in Ramapo where he worked, police said. He was treated at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern for what police described as a non-life-threatening neck injury.
The police didn’t disclose the nature of the dispute.
Police are looking for Toaza. Police said they found Toaza’s red Toyota in Memorial Park in Spring Valley.
