Tragedy in Yerushalayim – Child Struck & Killed by Bus

A 11-year-old chareidi boy was R”L struck and killed by a bus on Wednesday evening on Eidelson Street in the Ramot neighborhood of the capital.

Ichud Hatzalah responders reported that sadly, the child was killed immediately. A physician pronounced him dead on the scene.

One of the first EMTs on the scene was David Steinberger, who reports that he saw the 11-year-old child on the street, apparently struck by a bus, not at an authorized crosswalk.

It appears the child was standing near the curb with his sister when he lost his balance and fell and apparently was struck by a passing bus. Another report states he was struck between buses.

Police are questioning the driver as they try to piece together the events of the fatal incident.
