A disgraced former city jail chaplain and his younger brother are set to plead guilty in a federal housing-fraud case, lawyers on both sides revealed today.
Rabbi Leib Glanz and Menashe Glanz have “reached an agreement in principle” to settle charges they scammed more than $220,000 in rent subsidies, prosecutor Justin Anderson said in Manhattan federal court.
Defense lawyers confirmed that a deal had been struck, but neither side would say if the men would be heading to the slammer after their planned Sept. 4 guilty pleas.
Both brothers were arrested last year on charges that Leib illegally occupied a government-subsidized Williamsburg duplex that had been approved for Menashe, who was allegedly living in another home nearby.
Leib Glanz was previously shamed in 2009 when The Post exposed how he granted favors to Jewish inmates at The Tombs, including arranging an elaborate jailhouse bar mitzvah for the son of a convicted swindler.
