Monsey - Avrahm Rappaport 4 Year Child Struck By Vehicle

A 4-year-old Monsey boy is fighting for his life after being struck by a van Thursday, authorities said.

Avrahm Rappaport ran out from between parked vehicles in front of his house on Roberts Road and was struck by a passing minvan driven by Eliezer Jampolsky, of Monsey, police said.

The child , who suffered head injuries, was treated at the scene by Hatzoloh ambulance and was transported to Westchester medical center.

The vehicle, a 2004 minivan, was driven by a local resident.

The incident is under investigation by the Ramapo Police Accident investigation team
