NEWARK, N.J. — Recently released documents in New Jersey's largest corruption case show the government's main informant claimed to have received favors from several politicians, including a man Gov. Chris Christie has nominated for a judgeship.
In a story first reported by The Star-Ledger of Newark, Solomon Dwek claims he was tipped off early to foreclosure sales by former Monmouth County Sheriff Joseph Oxley.
Oxley was nominated last month by Christie to be a state Superior Court judge.
A message left for Oxley was not immediately returned.
The documents are part of a case against a defendant who had all charges dismissed.
Dwek also claims he got political favors from state Sen. Joseph Kyrillos, the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate.
