An annual Gerrer Hasidim dinner took place last week in Italy.
Only high-rolling donors were invited. Standard tickets went for $80,000, and premium seats were $150,000.
An estimated $10,000,000 were contributed. The donations will be paid out over the year, and are designated for the support of the Gerrer institutions in Israel.
Some 12,000 families belong to the Gerrer branch of Hasidism in Israel.
