6 NYPD cops hurt after crashing their cars together
This harrowing photo shows the aftermath of a crash between two police cars rushing to the same robbery yesterday, injuring six officers.
The accident occurred shortly after 3 p.m. when the two police vehicles, a marked cruiser and an unmarked sedan, T-boned at the intersection of Belmont Avenue and Milford Street in East New York, Brooklyn.
The impact sent the unmarked car into the Home Sweet Home Laundromat on the corner.
The cops’ injuries were described as non-life threatening.
The marked car was all but totaled, its passenger- side front door ripped off and its grille shredded.
Two customers in the laundry were uninjured, although the front of the shop was destroyed, said owner Samuel Orozco
