MONSEY- Police, Local business sold alcohol to minor
MONSEY - The Ramapo Police Department on Thursday conducted an alcohol sale compliance check of town businesses, sending an undercover agent younger than 21 into each store to attempt to purchase alcohol.
According to police, one store of 14 checked was cited for selling alcohol to a minor: the Mobil Express Mart at 267 N. Main St., Spring Valley. A 27-year-old clerk in the store was charged with prohibited sale of alcohol to a minor, a violation. Police said the clerk was released without bail and is due to appear in Ramapo Town Court.
The checks were performed in conjunction with the Rockland County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children. The following businesses were found to be in compliance with the state's alcoholic beverage control laws:

• Super Seven, 75 Orange Turnpike, Sloatsburg
• Sloatsburg Wine and Liquors, 61 Orange Turnpike, Sloatsburg
• Hayward's Deli, 59 Orange Turnpike, Sloatsburg
• 7-11, 28 Route 59, Suffern
• Liquor Land, 250 Route 59, Airmont
• Super Value, 74 Route 59, Monsey
• Gold Path Wine and Spirits, 45 Route 59, Monsey
• Bravo, 289 N. Main St., Spring Valley
• Wesley Hills Mobil, 477 Route 306, Wesley Hills
• Ramapo Food-n-News, 118 Route 202, Pomona
• Iryna's Liquor's, 298 B N. Main St., Spring Valley
• Crest Hill Liquors, 285 N. Main St., Spring Valley
