Brooklyn, NY - Bloomberg, Kelly Visit With The Kletzkys

Mayor Bloomberg last night paid a shiva call to the grieving family of 8-

year-old Leiby Kletzky, then called it "one of the most sad days in the city."

"It's very tragic," said the mayor, who, accompanied by Police Commissioner Ray Kelly, spent 15 minutes in the Borough Park home.

"I don't know why God sometimes does some things," Hizzoner said. "The commissioner and I expressed our condolences to parents and grand parents and siblings, and there's not a lot else we can say.

"It is what it is," he added.

Kelly, asked about the probe into the abduction, murder and dismemberment of little Leiby, allegedly at the hands of a neighborhood weirdo, would say only that "the investigation [was] going slowly."
