Williamsburg: Hit & Run Leaves Child In Critical Condition





NEW YORK (AP) - Police are looking for the driver of a van the fled the scene of a Brooklyn accident that critically injured a 2-year-old boy.

It happened at the intersection of Kent and Flushing avenues just before 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Police say the toddler was being pushed in a stroller by his 13-year-old sister when a white van struck the stroller and fled the scene.

The boy was rushed to Bellevue Hospital where he was listed in critical condition.

The sister was unharmed. There have been no arrests

Williamsburg Hatzolah Paramedics transported the child to Bellevue Trauma Center in Manhattan, and the NYPD along with Williamsburg Shomrim Volunteers searched the area for the vehicle – which is reported to be a white commercial type van.
